I bring this up because everything we say is being scrutinized everywhere now. The other day I was telling someone who wears a size 0P how lucky they were because they were able to wear such a small size. I thought it was a compliment. They told me it is insulting for people to bring this up. They hate being "different" by wearing tiny sizes and they don't do anything to make themselves smaller than most. That being said it got me to thinking why do manufacturer's put sizes out there so it is obvious if you are big or small. For example, do we need to say PLUS SIZE? Is it not obvious if you wear a size 24 you might be bigger than someone who wears a size 6. Do you need to be reminded of it? So why "add" to the discomfort by saying 0 or 00 and not just do maybe 1,2,3, etc for sizes and not add anything to make it more obvious that there is something out of the ordinary and not necessarily a good thing about you? I am writing these blogs hoping for some feedback so please add your comments or ideas. The way we are going to change things is to band together and pretty much demand that manufacturer's quit emphasizing sizing with a negative connotation. Let's stop making a BIG DEAL out of someone being smaller or larger or taller or shorter or prettier or more outspoken or whatever it is that sets them apart. Just be allowed to be you. So do you think that size matters? Or the way they set up the sizing matters? Do you agree that maybe we should just do 1,2,3, on up the line?
